Batman: Arkham Shadow will be released in October. Owners of Meta Quest 3 will get the game for free
Fans of the Dark Knight can slowly start gearing up for virtual reality adventures. Meta* and Camouflaj studio have announced the release date of the fresh Batman adventure, Batman: Arkham Shadow.
The game will be available on October 22 exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners, and will be free for those who purchase one of the bundles.
Developed by the creators of Marvel's Iron Man VR, the game transports players to Gotham City, where Batman will face the threat of the mysterious 'Dies Irae' organized by an antagonist and his fanatics. Characters such as a young Harley Quinn, Jim Gordon, and others will appear in the game.
The gameplay of Batman: Arkham Shadow stays true to the Batman: Arkham series, known on consoles and PC, but with a first-person view specifically designed for VR. Batman will utilize familiar gadgets and technologies, and will navigate through the dark alleys of Gotham using his fists.
The release of the new Meta Quest 3S headset (priced at 329.99 euros for the model with 128 GB of built-in memory) is rapidly approaching (mid-October), and Batman: Arkham Shadow is one of the incentives to experience VR capabilities.
