Steam introduces mandatory changes. Thousands of games at risk of losing access to the German market

According to the new rules, every game, regardless of release date, must be rated according to the appropriate age category. Valve has been preparing for this change for several months, urging game developers to complete a content survey.

Currently, more than 65,000 games meet the requirements, but around 23,000 titles are at risk of removal. Developers whose products are not correctly classified must complete the survey and make changes to ensure their games remain available in the German market.

All new games appearing on Steam automatically undergo the age rating process, but old games must be submitted by developers through a special survey.
