GSC Game World shared details on survival mechanics in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
The developer stated that the main character will face various negative effects caused by the game world, as well as attacks from non-player characters and monstrous creatures.
Among the effects to deal with are radiation poisoning, causing constant health loss, and forcing players to use drugs or vodka to reduce the harmful effects. Players will combat bleeding using med kits and bandages to stop the bleeding before health drops to zero.
The game also includes hunger, so players will need to regularly eat to maintain stamina. Lack of sleep leads to blurred vision and reduced stamina. Sleep deprivation can be overcome by resting in safe areas on the map.
